As an IACET Authorized Provider, what does this mean to you?
IACET has a rich history of promoting educational quality. Created in 1968, IACET's Criteria and Guidelines for Quality Continuing Education and Training Programs ("IACET Criteria and Guidelines") are the standards by which hundreds of organizations measure their educational offerings.

IACET Authorized Providers complete a comprehensive application and undergo a strict evaluation of their educational processes according to the IACET Criteria and Guidelines, including two reviews by IACET's Commission and a site visit by an IACET Commissioner.
 Certification

An IACET Authorized Provider
•
   Demonstrates compliance with proven, research-based criteria created in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Education;
•
   Is dedicated to high standards for quality in continuing education and training; and
•
   Awards the IACET CEU, the hallmark for quality in continuing education and training.

Time-Tested
The IACET Criteria were created by a National Task Force on Continuing Education in 1968 and they are based upon sound educational research. Though revised periodically to ensure proper applicability to new forms of education, the criteria can be applied to any continuing education and training course offering. IACET's Criteria and Guidelines are used in all forms of education in numerous industries, from childcare to electrical engineering.

What does the IACET Criteria Measure?
The IACET Criteria measure all aspects of an educational provider's program development. IACET Authorized Providers have demonstrated that their programs meet ten specific criteria. Here is an overview of the criteria and the aspect each evaluates:
